The current high pressure Gas Quenching technology developed rapidly, followed by a negative pressure (<1 × 105Pa) high flow rate air-cooled, pressurized (1 × 105 ~ 4 × 105Pa) air-cooled, high pressure (5 × 105 ~ (10 × 105 ~ 20 × 105Pa) air-cooled and other new technologies, not only greatly improved the ability of air-cooled quenching, and quenching after the workpiece surface brightness is good, small deformation, as well as efficient, energy-saving , Pollution-free and other advantages.
The use of High Pressure Gas Quenching is quenching and tempering of materials, solid solution, aging, ionizing and carbonitriding of stainless steel and special alloys, as well as vacuum sintering, cooling and quenching after brazing.
With 6 × 105Pa high pressure nitrogen cooling and quenching, the cooling load can only be loose type, high speed steel (W6Mo5Cr4V2) can be hardened to 70 ~ 100mm, high alloy hot work die steel (such as 4Cr5MoSiV) up to 25 ~ 100mm.
With 10 × 105Pa high pressure nitrogen cooling and quenching, the cooling load can be dense, than the 6 × 105Pa cooling load density of about 30% to 4O%.
With 20 × 105Pa ultra-high pressure nitrogen or helium and nitrogen mixture cooling quenching, the cooling load is dense and can be bundled together. Its density is better than 6 × 105Pa nitrogen cooling 80% ~ 150%, can cool all the high-speed steel, high alloy steel, hot work die steel and Cr13% chrome steel and more alloy oil quenching steel, such as larger Size 9Mn2V steel.
The cooling capacity of a dual chamber air quenching furnace with a separate cooling chamber is better than that of the same type of single chamber furnace. The cooling effect of the 2 x 105 Pa nitrogen-cooled double chamber was commensurate with the single chamber of 4 x 105 Pa. But the operation cost, maintenance costs low. Because China’s basic materials industry (graphite, molybdenum, etc.) and supporting components (the idea) and other levels to be improved. So the progress of 6 × 105Pa single-chamber high-pressure vacuum protection at the same time, the development of double-chamber pressure and high-pressure gas quenching furnace more in line with China’s national conditions.
