Metal Injection Molding(MIM) Industry Application
MIM is the abbreviation for metal injection molding. It is to first mix the selected powder with the binder, and then granulate the mixture and then inject the required shape. The application of metal injection molding is extremely wide, including daily necessities, such as automobiles, mobile phones, watches, household appliances, cameras and power tools equipped with MIM parts.
There are two major molding technologies for powder metallurgy, one is MIM injection molding, and the other is PM compression molding. Both molding technologies are suitable for small precision parts manufacturing. The main difference between the metal injection molding process and the compression molding technology is that the former uses injection molding, while the latter uses uniaxial rigid mold compression molding.
