What is vacuum heat treatment furnace
The vacuum heat treatment furnace can be classified according to its application, vacuum degree, working temperature, working property, furnace structure and heat source. For example, it can be divided into periodic vacuum furnace, semi continuous vacuum furnace and continuous vacuum furnace. According to the furnace structure, it can be divided into vertical vacuum furnace and horizontal vacuum furnace.
(1) Single chamber low pressure vacuum carburizing furnace
Heating carburizing and high-pressure gas quenching are carried out in the same room, and the cooling rate and production efficiency are relatively low.
(2) Double chamber and three chamber low pressure vacuum carburizing furnace
The double chamber furnace consists of a heating carburizing chamber and an air quenching chamber. After carburizing in the heating chamber, the parts are cooled to the quenching temperature, and then the parts are pushed to the cooling chamber for high-pressure gas quenching, which can significantly improve the cooling rate and production efficiency. In the middle of the three chamber furnace is the heating chamber (carburizing chamber), one end is the oil cooling chamber, the other end is the gas quenching chamber, and the carburized parts can enter and exit from either end. The three chamber furnace structure can also be used for feeding and quenching in the front chamber, for parts turnover in the middle chamber and for carburizing in the back chamber. Double chamber furnace and three chamber furnace are suitable for small batch and multi variety production.
Low pressure ion carburizing can be carried out by applying electric field in two chamber and three chamber furnaces. When ion carburizing is used in the treatment of aviation gear, the carburizing layer is more uniform and the carburizing layer of tooth root is deeper.
(3) Multi chamber semi continuous low pressure carburizing high pressure gas quenching furnace (production line)
A plurality of carburizing chambers and a high-pressure gas quenching chamber are arranged on both sides (horizontally) of a vacuum channel. The parts are heated in the heating chamber, carburized with carburizing gas after reaching the temperature, then cooled to the quenching temperature, and the parts are pushed into the gas quenching chamber. The furnace type is suitable for carburizing and quenching of gears and other parts with large batch. Representative enterprises of this type of furnace include Ipsen, ALD, Simuwu, ECN, etc.
(4) Multi chamber continuous low pressure vacuum carburizing high pressure gas quenching automatic production line
It is composed of several carburizing chamber, diffusion chamber, gas quenching chamber and oil quenching chamber. It is suitable for carburizing and quenching of gears and other parts in large quantities. For example, the multi chamber continuous vacuum furnace production line of Simuwu company is a continuous heat treatment production line for vacuum carburizing and high-pressure gas quenching, which is arranged in a straight line, in order of loading and evacuation chamber, heating chamber, vacuum carburizing chamber (propane), diffusion chamber, gas quenching chamber (helium), and each working chamber is separated by sealed thermal insulation gate.
Compared with periodic vacuum carburizing furnace (such as single chamber furnace), the productivity of semi continuous and continuous vacuum carburizing furnace can be increased by 25% and 40% respectively. Semi continuous and continuous low-pressure carburizing and high-pressure gas quenching automatic production line will become one of the development trends of carburizing heat treatment equipment for high-quality gears and other parts.
